Yoga For Schools

At Tamed Tiger, we believe that yoga should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we’ve designed our program to bring yoga to schools and other educational institutions. We are passionate about helping children learn the basics of yoga and how it can improve their mental, physical, and emotional health.

Yoga for Schools

Children are full of a sense of playfulness and curiosity of the world. In todays world children don't need to be taught or pushed to take on more than is already required throughout their education, what they need more so than anything is opportunities to have fun, relax, play and explore their bodies, connect with their minds through their bodies and co-ordinate thought and intention with body movement.

We offer a variety of classes, including yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, that are tailored to the needs of each school. Our team of certified teachers are friendly and knowledgeable, and have a wealth of experience in teaching yoga to children. We invite you to experience the power of yoga with us

For Young children - we ground our yoga in play, we might show them how to make shapes with their bodies (often in the form of animals) They learn to connect their bodies with their minds and enhance their co-ordination through yoga and playfulness. Giving them some much needed time to spend time enjoying their bodies and just being in the moment

​

As children progress through their years we begin to introduce breathing techniques, some basic yoga foundations still through the medium of playfulness and exploration. We also begin to explore exciting moves such as hand balances and dynamic shapes to keep them curious and engaged. Children love to see what their bodies are capable of and to feel the freedom of movement.

Teenage years - we explore a more holistic practice.  Adolescence is a challenging time for young people with changing bodies, their position within the world and social groups along with the pressures of GCSE's and A Levels. Our practice with this age group helps to deepen their connection and acceptance of their body, help to find confidence in all the changes taking place as well as using and exploring breath work to manage the anxiety often associated with fluctuating hormones and the pressures of examinations. It offers them stress reduction, a calming environment and emotional well-being support during this transformative stage of life
